-They are having turtle seminars and turtle patrols. You see a turtle laying eggs, hold the turtle there until the turtle tagging team gets there. They tag them and track them all over the gulf. The following are links about turtle programs and information:

Sea turtles are endangered and threatened species and only permitted individuals can handle the turtles. There could be a fine up to $20,000 and possible jail time.

A discussion was held about dues. We are dues paying members of the West Galveston Island Property

Owners Association and the yearly dues to that organization are a drain on our limited funds.

It was moved and seconded and voted on to increase the voluntary dues to the Palm Beach Civic Club to $50.00 dollars per year starting 1/2013 and due by 5/31/2013. Anyone who wanted to start their $50 now is welcome. W.G.I.P.O. with Jerry Mohn is a powerful and useful organization representing the interests of home owners on the west end.

We have revised our bylaws. To see the current bylaws click on File Cabinet at the top of this page and once in file cabinet click on palm beach civic club by-laws.
